When was the last time you had to visit a friend in the hospital?
It has not been that long ago that I had someone very dear to me in the hospital. She is my 90 year old adopted MOM. This had been the longest time she had been away from her home. She had been blessed with good health and independence.
As I continued to visit her daily, I started to notice numerous "Baby Boomer"patients walking the halls. Some were using walkers and others in wheel chairs. It just made me think how lucky I was at age 61 that I was still able to get around as well as I did. However, it was not to many months prior to this visit that I had accepted the fact,I would soon be an old gray hair lady walking around with the help of those crazy looking walkers.
Then my son reminded me that if he could lose 120 pounds working out and eating clean, no excuses why I could not get up off the couch and get moving and get healthy.
All I know is I have lost 35 pounds and continue to push play everyday! Loving my work out DVD with Shaun T "Hip Hop Abs". I made a few changes in my eating habits, like, never leaving the house without eating a healthy breakfast:~) I have a great yummy meal replacement shake in the morning, take some healthy snacks and lunch to work as well:~)
So the next time you see those "Baby Boomers" tell them it is time to start making some healthy decisions and get up off the couch and get moving!!
Keep on Movin'
